Born on January 1, 1968, Joey Stefano was one of the most popular gay porn stars of the late 80s and early 90s. His fast-paced lifestyle began in New York City where he worked as a prostitute to support his drug use. His decision to move to Los Angeles allowed him to quickly rise to fame as a porn star known for his smoldering good looks. Joey was also the first performer to claim fame as a power bottom by playing submissive and verbally demanding scenes in films like Strip Search, Billboard, My Cousin Danny and Secret Dreams. During his porn career Joey was able to work with several major studios including Falcon, Hot House Entertainment, All Worlds and Catalina. Besides his work in porn, Joey is best known for appearing as a model in Madonna's Sex book released in 1992. During his lifetime, he was the subject of rumors (some of them spread by himself) regarding his relationships with prominent entertainment industry figures, most notably David Geffen. Stefano died of an overdose of cocaine, morphine, heroin and ketamine at age 26 on November 26, 1994.
